I have a question for all of you out in the book world… Do you ever intentionally skip to the end of a book just to spoil it?
I find that I do sometimes. And for me (this may be strange) it doesn’t really actually ruin the book for me. More so, it makes me want to read even more and quickly, so that I can figure out the events that lead up to the ending. And I know that sounds super counter productive to just reading the book solidly through. But I get so excited about books sometimes that I just have to know what happens right away.
And so, I skip to the back and read a few pages. Just to get a feel for what happens. I don’t usually read the last few pages solidly through, but i’ll skim. And it just makes me so much more excited to plow through the rest of the book!
What do you guys think? Do you ever skip to the back and read a few pages? And if you do, do you regret it afterwards or are you like me?
Let me know!
