I am SO excited to bring you this blog post today. I was beyond honoured to be asked to take part in this blog tour because it combines two of my favourite things: kissing, and this series. I have followed, loved, obsessed over, and waited for with little to no patience and to see it come to an end is sad, but oh man was it ever satisfying (while being simultaneously brutal). I have a blog post coming for you about my favourite literary kiss, and in my opinion, it’s the best there is!

War has begun. Arin is in the thick of it, with the East as his ally and the empire as his enemy. He’s finally managed to dismiss the memory of Kestrel, even if he can’t quite forget her. Kestrel turned into someone he could no longer recognize: someone who cared more for the empire than for the lives of innocent people—and certainly more than she cared for him. At least, that’s what he thinks.
But far north lies a work camp where Kestrel is a prisoner. Can she manage to escape before she loses herself? As the war intensifies, both Kestrel and Arin discover unexpected roles in battle, terrible secrets, and a fragile hope. The world is changing. The East is pitted against the West, and Kestrel and Arin are caught between. In a game like this, can anybody really win?
- What book is your favourite literary kiss in? OUTLANDER!
Who is kissing? Jamie and Claire on their wedding night ???
- Why is it your favourite? Oh god, to answer this is extremely difficult. Throughout the first half of the entire book, this incredible tension has been building very subtly, and all of a sudden it just crashed down on us as this magical experience. I have two different times when I love this kiss, because they’re slightly different between the book and the tv show. In the book, the kiss i’m talking about is literally their first kiss, at the wedding ceremony. It’s shocking to Claire because she realizes that this is something that she actually enjoys and she can be happy. It’s also a bit saddening to her because of the symbolic loss of Frank. But it’s soft, and romantic and dreamy because we’ve all fallen head over heels for Jamie at this point. The tv show kiss that I love though, is the sexiest on screen kiss i’ve ever seen in my life. The tension is rampant between the two as they slowly undress each other before just going at it, but that kiss is something else. It to me, was sexier than all the other love scenes in that episode and it’s the kiss I fully associate with the passion and fiery love between Jamie and Claire throughout the entirety of the series.
This book exceeded all of my expectations as a closing book to a series I have loved and adored from the very beginning. I can’t wait for you guys to get your hands on it as well!
